What are people saying?
“Thank you for all your work on these dances! It’s lovely having the opportunity to dance and socialize so often in the Catholic young adult sphere.” ~Julia
“These dances are a great way to come together with like-minded people and enjoy a time of socialization and dancing! Everyone is very kind and welcoming, and learning all kinds of dance styles is always so fun. Thank you for hosting these events to bring the Catholic community together!” ~Gabrielle
“I found “One Dance at a Time” as a former college athlete and lifelong Catholic who was looking to pick up a new hobby while meeting people who share my values. From the very first dance event I attended, the Dance Corps have always done an incredible job helping me step out of my comfort zone by creating a welcoming, light-hearted, and fun environment — always rooted in respect and a genuine regard for upholding the dignity of each participant. Over time, I’ve met so many upstanding young adults through these dances — even folks who travel from out of state to be part of it, which says a lot about the impact it’s having. The dance events feature a great mix of classic styles along with fun contra and line dances mixed in that keep things fresh while allowing opportunities to connect and start meaningful conversations. The Garcia family (and friends) has created something really special here, and I’m honored to be a part of the community!” ~Noah

What are parents and teens saying?
“We’ve always wanted our daughter to participate in more teenage activities but were concerned about negative influences. The teen dance presented a perfect, activity for her.
She had a wonderful time at the dance. It was well-supervised. She made new friends and danced comfortably with boys her age. Although she was nervous at first, she enjoyed it so much that she couldn’t wait to go again.” ~K’s parents
“My experience with the Teen Dance has been enjoyable. Maria is a wonderful instructor. Her dance corps is helpful and attentive.
At my first dance, I walked into a room full of unfamiliar faces. I had no clue what to do or expect. Then I danced my first dance. My fears melted away and I had one of the best times of my life.
The Teen Dance is a great activity for teenagers. I know I will look back on it as something wonderful.” ~ K

Lessons
Maria is available for private & semi-private dance lessons as well as “First Dance” lessons and choreography
What are people saying?
Private Lessons
“Maria’s group dance lessons are great, but her private ones are where you will really learn to dance, and quickly. She patiently goes through each move and drills their steps with you. After only about 4 lessons, I have massively improved from when I started and have a lot to show for it on the dance floor. Even after just one lesson I felt like I had a lot of moves under my belt. This skill is exciting to pull out at weddings, the group dances, and balls. I receive compliments every time from the women I dance with, especially at weddings. This is all thanks to Maria and her personal, straightforward teaching style!” ~Anthony
“Maria is an incredibly talented dancer/choreographer and an adept instructor. She brings joy and energy to the dance floor and makes learning easy and fun. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to increase their dance knowledge and skills while having a blast doing it!” ~Kate
“Maria Garcia is a well-versed and a creative dance instructor that I was happy to take lessons from. She was professional, very inviting, kind, clear, easy to understand ,considerate, and above all, a very TRUSTING person, which for me should quench any doubts that anyone has for her talents. I am also happy to call Maria a good friend and wish her the best with all her future endeavors.” ~Joseph
“So far the lessons have been great. I don’t have any previous experience dancing so the private lessons have been much more beneficial to me than group dance classes. Maria and Ana have been extremely kind and professional and have greatly improved my dance skills!” ~ Patrick
“Maria is an exceptionally talented instructor who makes dancing accessible and fun. She is able to cater to any level of dancer. I always look forward to the next lesson and can count that by the end of it I will see a dramatic improvement in my skills.” ~Nathan
First Dances
“Maria was a pleasure to work with in helping us prepare for our first dance. She brought great energy, flexibility, and gave us plenty of ideas to make the dance feel special, fun, and customizable. We truly appreciated her support, creativity, and dedication. She made the experience enjoyable and we had so much fun bringing it all together on our big day! We’d highly recommend Maria to anyone looking to hone their dance skills or get choreography ideas for any dance routine”. ~Jack and Grace
